Washington D.C. Trip

Garner-Hayfield Middle School
Garner, Iowa

Around the World in 180 Days!!!

Sphinx

to the world of social studies!

Seventh graders travel the world during social studies! We'll climb Mount Everest and dive to the Great Barrier Reef. We'll cross the Sahara Desert and explore the Amazon Rain Forest. You name it, we'll be there! We'll discover fascinating cultures (and sample some of their cuisine!) as we trek around the world!

It's a trip back through American history for our eighth graders! We'll watch as the colonists struggle to make a life on this new continent. Cannons blast as the American Revolution unfolds. We'll hear Abraham Lincoln as he leads our country through the Civil War. And we'll strive to both understand and appreciate the rights we have in this great country.  Finally, we'll take what we've learned to our nation's capital as our students have the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C.!
